We had wind damage to the 2nd floor soffit leaving a large opening into the attic. I immediately contacted American Custom Contractors who we had worked with previously. Joel dispatched Douglas and Juan to repair the soffit, once they arrived, they were very prompt, explained what they would be repairing, once they we finished they cleaned the area of any debris, I talked with them for a few minutes which they were both very professional, prompt, polite, explained what they fixed. I had contracted with American Customer Contractors 2 years ago who did a fantastic job replacing our roof. Having been in the construction business years ago, it is hard to find a good, dependable, respectable, company in todays market, American Custom Contractors is just that!!!! ~ Ron M

I was very pleased with American Custom Contractors. They did an excellent job with my roof--Project consultant Christian Ramirez took good care of me; Sharon Slacum was very helpful with arranging appointments and connecting me with the right team; the crew was hardworking and courteous; deadlines were met; clean up was excellent; and the roof work was done well. Because of the great experience, I called them for a different job with my gutters several months later. Blase Scully was incredibly responsive to my needs--came out quickly, assessed the situation, actually remedied what he could on the spot, provided me with photos, and gave me a fast and reasonable estimate. From start to finish, I was very happy with ACC. Mike S. was an excellent project consultant and Blase S. was an amazing project manager. During initial phases, I really appreciated that Mike was there to help guide the process and address any of my concerns. He was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. The quality of work on the project itself was top-notch and I love result. Blase went above and beyond - any time I had a question or issue he was all over it and made sure that I was happy. He is the best PM I have ever worked with in terms of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail. American Custom Contractors has done two full roof replacements for me on different properties, and I cannot rate them highly enough. They have been very easy to work with through the entire process, and they do a great job following up with the insurance company related to any storm damage. They did great work on both projects, and at very reasonable prices. They were very responsive all the way through for any follow up questions I had, and were willing to make multiple trips out before the replacement started to initially diagnose the leak. If you’re looking for a solid company to call for a roof project, definitely give them a call! Blase, Mike, Yanni, and the whole team were a pleasure to work with, and I will definitely call them again for any future projects. ~ Jason K

I was very pleased with how our claim was handled with the insurance company. Then watching the work being done. The whole crew was very neat, respectful and took care of additional work while the roof was open. All I had to do to get to the right person was to call or text Yanny. I noticed a piece of trim that looked crooked and stood out to anyone entering by the garage. One call and a man came out to see what I was talking about. He went for materials and fixed it before the next storm. I was a little worried about someone approaching us about the damage but reviews were all good. I like having someone like Yanny to get me to the right person or find the answer to my questions. HOPEFULLY, I won’t have to replace another roof but I know who to call or tell friends. ~ Susan G

Yanni with American Home Contractors has been wonderful to work with during the process of roof selection with my elderly mother. He has been patient and kind and knowledgeable. He has worked well with my mother’s insurance company, her timeline and is now getting the roof started as soon as she became ready. We know the roof will be beautiful and done well as Yanni has been a joy to work with! 11/24: I wanted to add another review after working with Joel, Blase and Anibal. We had a concern that there might be a roof leak in my mother’s bathroom. The team above worked quickly to determine the cause of the leak, which turned out not to be the roof, but an animal in the attic. American Custom Contractors did an amazing job installing new siding and trim, replacing the door from our garage to our backyard, and replacing one of the garage windows. The install team had to battle through installing after a really bad snow and ice storm, with single-digit temperatures afterward. The installation team was incredibly professional, including when they had to deal with our dogs (friendly) while working on the back of the house. I strongly recommend them for any home restoration projects (siding, roof, windows, etc.). If you get Alex Giakoumatos or Frank Murillo as your project manager, you can trust that you will be in excellent hands from start to finish of your restoration project. ~ Darin D

American Custom Contractors was a great company to work with on another roof project after using them in the past. They always have come in with the lowest prices when I get bids, and their professionalism and expertise all the way through the project was so appreciated. They did great work on a full roof replacement, including coordinating a complicated replacement of an old, rusty HVAC pipe that was installed incorrectly previously. They are always extremely easy to work with and go above and beyond to provide good service. Working with Mike and Blase all the way through was very easy, and Douglas went above and beyond to finish the project quickly once the pipe was installed. Highly recommend using them! ~ Jason K

All members of American Custom Contractors (ACC) from the estimator, project manager, to the installation team were very professional in the performance of their duties. Special thanks to Don Slocum for his persistence in dealing with my insurance company who only wanted to pay for roof repair, rather than replacement. Don carefully explained that roof repair would lead to further damage. The insurance company concurred with Don's persuasive argument and authorized the full replacement. Cameron coordinated the process of ordering the shingles and scheduling the installation date. The installation team arrived on time and kept me informed of the process. Once the work was completed, the crew thoroughly cleaned up the debris and performed a final inspection. I highly recommend ACC to anyone interested in their service. ~ Joseph H

I was referred to American Custom Contracting by my neighbor. I actually complimented him in his new roof and he gave me their info. I had them come out and do a roof inspection for me. The man was very honest, professional and on time. I didn’t need roof work at that time, but I had exterior trim that was rotting. It was very high and I was rejected by a few “handymen”. I received my quote, and although it was a little higher than expected, I went ahead and I am so happy I did. The workers are professional, on time, polite, hard working and they are doing a great job. Very organized and know exactly what they are doing. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this company again in the future and can recommend them without reservation. When it comes to your home, best not to skimp, it will save you money in the long run!! ~ Sarah A

Our experience was UNBELIEVABLE; literally, we have told friends our experience and nobody can believe how we rave about American Custom Contractors. We had a wind/hail storm damaged roof and Christian Ramirez made the process simple from the start and everything he described came to pass, just as he had explained. Then, when Tim Booth and his team arrived at our house, it couldn't have gone more smoothly, nor more professionally. The process was long but throughout the 3 weeks of work the crew took great care of our home and landscaping, and were very accommodating to our needs. It was quite possibly the cleanest job-site I've ever seen. And, they finished on time and budget . . . no surprises! ACC is amazing. ~ Shay H

American Custom Contractors was wonderful to work with. We had a roof leak from a storm, and they were quick to help with our insurance agent, provide a quote, provide shingle samples, and replaced the roof less than two weeks. Yanni was very thorough in his review of the estimate and provided us with guidance on replacing the gutters and adding in a leaf guard. He was also upfront with potential additional costs (plywood replacement, etc.). He worked with the insurance company during and post install as well. Blase was our Project Manager, and he was good at communicating via email, phone, and text. We had one of our gutters damaged, and Blase worked quickly to have it replaced without any question. Overall, I would highly recommend American Custom Contractors - specifically Yanni and Blase - to perform a roof replacement. ~ Christopher H

As last year we were told by a different contractor that we need our roof replaced, we decided to get a second opinion and we did the free inspection of the roof with American Custom Contractors after a bad hail storm. To my surprise they told us that our roof still has 10-15 years left and it has minimal damage from the hail. The person they sent, David, was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I really don't take the time to post reviews, but this time I had to post this as I was impressed with their honesty. It is very hard to get a honest opinion these days when everybody tries to sell you everything. I would recommend them based on our experience with them. When our roof will be replaced, they will be the first one to call. ~ Simona P

I had a great experience with American Custom Contractors from my initial conversation with Russell until my final check in with my project manager, Frank. I experienced some wind damage in my roof and after submitting a claim with my insurance, I coordinated with Russell to meet the assessor at my home as they viewed the roof damage. American Custom Contracting took pics and submitted additional claims to be sure that my insurance paid out appropriately for the damages. The roof replacement was schedule within weeks and completed in one day. It looks amazing! They even took care of a small soffit piece that was missing and replaced a cracked j-channel. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the service that I received from them. ~ Emily H

We have hired American Custom Contractors to replace our roof and have been very impressed by the integrity and respect we have been shown in the process so far! (Work has not yet started.) Damien Sautter was on our roof yesterday with the insurance adjuster when he spotted a possible issue from a missing shingle. After the adjuster he left, he took the time to further explore the issue by going into our attic where he discovered a hole in the roof with daylight shining through it! He then went back on the roof and patched said hole by himself. Thank goodness he did because it poured down rain later in the evening!! We have been very impressed so far and feel confident we made the right choice with American Custom Contractors! ~ Grace K

I have zero complaints with American Custom Contractor regarding my roof replacement and interior ceiling work. From the first day when we met with our sales representative Yanni, the company was extremely professional and went above and beyond. They send a photo of the sales rep along with a text confirming the appointment to prevent any possible scams. Yanni was always responsive and easy to reach. American Custom also dealt directly with my insurance regarding the roof claim and there were no issues. Install was done very quickly and the communication from my project manager Belter Morataya was great. I still have the interior work that needs to be completed but I have no reason to expect anything but a good experience. ~ Julissa M

I am happily updating my prior rating to 5 stars. Finally, I've found a company that cares about customer service and repeat business. After I posted a less than stellar review, I received a phone call from the CEO, Demetri. He personally showed up (and was even a little early) and stayed on site while my roof was being inspected. Despite the windy conditions, the technician was thorough with his inspection and took precautionary measures to address any water leaks. Demetri took the time to speak with me about my roof issues, and he also provided valuable information about the insurance claim process. I'm extremely pleased with the "above and beyond" service that I received today. I will definitely call American Custom Contractors in the future, as well as refer them to my friends, family, and neighbors living in the DMV area. ~ Donna C

A friend referred me to Brad Colliflower for window and siding replacement. Brad came out and worked with us on a quote that was about almost half less than another competitor. Measurements were taken and about six weeks later an appointment was set up to have 12 windows and a large bow window replaced. The job was completed in just one and a half days And we couldn’t be more pleased with the final result. The windows are very high-quality triple pain, and they look amazing inside and out. Looking forward to a much less costing electric bill this winter and the rest of the summer. I had a full roof replacement and interior work done to patch a damaged ceiling. American Custom Contractors was recommended to me by a family member and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Brad Colliflower took the point on my job from the start, explaining the entire process, and always being patient as I had a lot going on at work. Everything went smoothly and just as Brad said it would, getting the job fully covered by my insurance. You can trust that he is going to do the right thing for his clients. Once the work was scheduled it was done professionally, the crews explained everything and were committed to quality results that were better than I even expected. This was one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had with a home renovation. I did a complete roof replacement with Brava spanish barrel tile, and ACC was recommended by the tile manufacturer. The new roof looks spectacular and has added value to the house. ACC was very impressive from start to finish. Their sales/design specialist David Paul was outstanding in guiding me through the process, and the project manager Hans Ramirez was on top of everything every day. The crew was very professional and obviously highly skilled at this difficult type of roof installation. They worked meticulously and stayed on the project constantly until it was finished. ACC replaced our roof, including 3 skylights, roof overhangs, and gutter extensions. They did an excellent job. The crew members showed up on time as scheduled, they were extremely professional, and finished the work on schedule (3 days), even when the weather conditions were less than ideal. It is Nick from a 50-year specialized roof company namely American Custom Contractors company, who knocked on our door and told us he visually spotted some issues on our roof and can inspect it more deeply on our behalf. We luckily allow him to do so and he did find lots of issues which very likely were caused by the previous storms occurring in our area and would otherwise cause much bigger issues in the future. He suggested us to have his company fix the issues and here we are. With the help of the project manager Adam from the same company, our roof was replaced with brand new premium materials and the work was beautifully done. We are so grateful that our roof was taken care so well and now is trouble free with help of both Nick and Adam!
